Eye Banking and Corneal Transplantation

Eyesight International has helped the Eye Bank Association of India develop safe techniques for eye banking, create a system to supply corneas for transplant and improve transplantation techniques. Click here for more information.

Rural Eye Care Project

Eyesight International is working with the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) and other partners to develop two eye care hospitals in rural India. Existing inefficient facilities are being expanded and transformed into financially self-sustaining centres serving a community of about one million people. Click here for more information.

Community Assisted and Financed Eye Care Project

Eyesight International is working with India's L.V. Prasad Eye Institute to introduce a self-insurance pilot project never before attempted in the developing world. The objective: to build a comprehensive eye care system funded by the communities it serves. Click here for more information.
